As a blind person, Angel uses her other senses to enhance her lack of seeing and in doing so helps her friends have a better understanding of how she copes with aspects of everyday life that could otherwise be very complicated.
Angel and Friends Volume 2 starts interestingly enough with where Tony and Friends Volume 3 left off. Angel returns from her holiday to a game farm having met Tony (the dog) there. She can't wait to share her experience with her class.
The storyline teaches children about current things happening in South Africa today, things like power shedding, the importance of fuel saving and even the advantages of a GPS.
